How much should we move our bodies to maintain good health? While it seems
like a straightforward question, it doesn't have a one-size-fits-all answer.
While the concepts of health and physical activity might seem clear-cut,
scientifically defining them can be challenging. Typically, natural science
research seeks to understand the true nature of things by analyzing, dissecting,
and interpreting measurable and reproducible data. In our lab, we're striving
to develop physical activities and assistive technologies that foster "comfortable
emotional states," which have historically been tough to reproduce
consistently
To better understand the link between health (and well-being) and physical
activity, we are undertaking research, educational initiatives, and practical
activities to support data-driven community health behaviors. Our approach
integrates epidemiology, information technology, and physical therapy techniques.
The goal is to unearth patterns that consider both human and environmental
factors. Ultimately, our studies aspire to contribute to theories that
provide insights beneficial not only in healthcare but also in enhancing
societal productivity.
Currently, our methods are inspired by the development and validation of
ICT, IoT, and AI Cloud in the realm of movement therapy and physical stimulation
techniques. We envision a world where individuals can move freely, be aware
of their health, feel a sense of accomplishment, and lead fulfilling lives.
A society where those with disabilities can achieve their dreams with minimal
effort and independence, and where everyone's rights to do so are upheld
and guaranteed
