Our Mission

The Japanese Society of Public Health Physical Therapy aims to promote research on physical therapy in public health and to contribute to the advancement of public health and physical therapy through the exchange of knowledge.

Objectives

• Development of public health physiotherapy and public health physiotherapy practice
• Development of public health physiotherapy activities and education for physiotherapists related to public health
• Promotion of research in public health physiotherapy
• Contributing to the well-being of society and the promotion of the health of the public

Current Research Trends

1. Research on links between public health and physical therapy
2. Clinical epidemiology (clinical diagnosis of physical therapy based on prediction rules vs. clinical diagnosis of physical therapy based on kinetic rules)
3. Physical therapy health informatics (integrated use of health research and ICT devices)
4. Basic, Clinical medicine, Social medicine and physical therapy translational
5. Health economics and physiotherapy services
6. Japanese version of PT remodeling in front of global medicine and the shift to DPT Physiotherapy and human environmental complex factors, etc.
